So, my local bookstore is huge and the prices are decent and I hate it. They have a ridiculous amount of books, but the selection is of such poor quality that it sucks ass. I went through all of the Nobel Prize winners yesterday to find all of the novelists who I had not read yet. I need new authors and I have had pretty good luck with the people on that list (Steinbeck, Hemingway, Morrison, Hamsun, Faulkner, Gide, etc.). Anyway, I made up a list of ab out twenty winners that I hadn't read anything by. I found one book. One fucking book by one author. Kind of pathetic. Now, I still walked out with a decent stack, but nothing that made me want to go back anytime soon.

I did, however, snag a copy of Roshomon, the book. It looks like it is a translation of the screenplay and a ton of ohotos from the set. I got it for free too. He had it on a rack outside and listed it as fifty cents. I looked at the rack after I had purchased $40 worth of books and when I came back inside the guy told me just to keep it....apparently he didn't want an extra fifty cents.

It's the football tickets thta are expensive. They sold out long ago (They've sold out every game since they moved into the new stadium), so we had to pay about three times the face value. That ticket costs more than my three baseball tickets and my ticket to see Annie combined.

Don't think of it as losing geek cred so much as it's gaining perv cred.....

Lunch first tomorrow? Maybe meet up at that Asianish place near your house (I don't remember its name) around 12:30ish and then head on down to the bookstore?

Weird, I've been going through something similar food-wise. In the last two weeks I think there's only been one day that I ate more than one meal.

I need to go to Lowry's sometime soon. Maybe the next Sunday I have off. I have some books that I don't need to have anymore. And, maybe, just maybe, I might find something there that I want.

June 5th Bethesda(who now own all rights to fallout aside from an mmo which interplay still has the rights too) will be showing something on their fallout 3 website. For now you can just go to the site, see some concept art and hear some music. I am excited but cautious as I dont like most of what bethesda makes.

Things are going well, busy, but I can't really complain.....

How do you like the new CLUTCH?

I don't think it sounds that much like the last one. No more similar than Blast Tyrant to Robot Hive. I think they've taken the southern rock/bluesy elements of RH and expanded on them. I however, like the original version of One Eye Dollar much better. I wish they would not have redone it.
