I'm bored and don't really have anything planned tonight, so I'm just lounging around at home. Today has been quite relaxing now that I think about it.
Work was a breeze; it went by faster than I thought it did. I mean really, every time I looked at the clock, time kept flying by. I left, deposited my check, got food, smoked a bowl before/after eating. Then I had this ridiculous craving for a cigarette. I haven't smoked in over a year, but I decided to get one because it really would hit the spot. Best cigarette ever. I went inside, smoked a bowl, grabbed my iPod and just sat on my balcony listening to Sigur Ros while doing a lot of thinking.
I pretty much started thinking about how every waking moment of every day, someone is doing something at the very moment you are. People don't really think about it as much as they should. But imagine as you're putting out your hand to pick up an apple, how many people are doing the same thing? How many cars are driving by on how many freeways in how many countries on how many continents? How many people are walking to their destinations, climbing steps, and opening doors? How many door knobs are turned in an hour, how many light switches are flicked, and how many eyes blinked?
Thinking makes me smile.
