Why in the Jimmy Crack Corn would someone do a New Age version of "O, Mio Babbino Caro"? I only heard it myself because my little pig-bat-dog likes to listen to "Soundscapes" while watching the tufted titmice at the feeder. Honest.

I'm very ill. These are my first moments not wishing I were dead,…

Happy birthday! What a terrible way to feel on your day.
Being without access to the net is effing torture! I have no idea why I didn't hear of a man in Seattle on a tower threatening people because of a lack internet service.
Maybe you will tell me of this hopelessly adrift business. I promise if you do I won't attempt to give some type of smarmy advice. I most assuredly have no such advice to give, anyway. It sounds rather serious, though - maybe.
Also, I am rather embarrassed that made a typo in my post to you. It makes it seem less sincere than it actually was.
And in other news... I didn't know that thirty five was considered the halfway mark.
I'm a gloomy guy in general. I'm surprised you hadn't already noticed.
Thirty-five as the halfway mark is from the opening line of Il Infierno, " Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita," meaning, approximately, "When I had come to the midpoint of human life." Dante was referring to the Biblically-allotted "threescore years and ten," (and believe it or not I can't cite Chapter and Verse, but it's in there somewhere).
As for what I did on my birthday, I did the same thing I do every night. Tried to take over the world.
It went as usual.
