well i think it's new blog time! although i hate having to give up my tremendous 28 comment birthday inclusive blog... thanks everyone for making that possible! having a birthday on here was brilliant. i didn't think it would mean that much to me, seeing as i've only been on here for so short an amount of time, but it did! it definitely lifted my spirits! normally birthdays for me are synonymous with being pissed off or realising how shitty life can sometimes be, but this year it wasn't. i definitely consider people here to be friends now! it normally takes a lot longer for me to realise that. anyway enough o that mushy shite, onto mah blog...
let's see, what's happened since the last blog... i'll start off with the holiday shtuff
okay so i've decided on destination and time of year! that's the easy part. this is gonna be a trial run first of all. probably a three week stay around the end of May, start of June. and it's to the American North-East. these plans are semi-permanent, they might still change a little, but this is pretty much the BASIC plan. i'm hoping to visit New York, for definite, and either Boston or Philadelphia. i'm torn between the two because of two things. Philadelphia is closer to New York, but Boston has the whole Irish connection. i'll still have to think about it
on top of that, recently there has been a huge revamp of Irish airport policy, regarding disabled passengers. the last experience i had was... disastrous. to say the least. but now i'm starting to look more optimistically. this has always been the BIGGEST concern i've had about travel. but, this reform of policy is looking good!
shit i don't know what else really... college has settled down a bit. up til this i've been having a terrible time getting back into it. i've been skipping a good few classes too. a terrible idea i know, but sometimes the thought of going into the classroom full of people just freaks me the fuck out. damn near blacked out last tuesday. since then i've relaxed about it. just taken a deep breath and a just... tried not to think about it. what's the worst a classroom full of people can do? rhetorical question of course
the following morning... yeah i was too damn tired to keep typing! fell asleep around quarter to twelve and slept like a fucking log! 8 hours through, without even moving. just completely conked out. feeling much better today! this week i'm going to try and work on getting audio chat operational, that's the goal anyway. it's a big step for me but i think it's only fair that i do it too, just like everyone else does. people on here have let me into aspects of their personal lives and i have to treat that with the utmost respect! for me, anyway that's a big deal. other people might not see it that personally, but i can't help but see it that way. it takes a certain level of trust to allow people into your own private life, outside sg, and to be completely honest i'm honoured to have earned it! it's a great feeling to know that people like you enough to do that!
to put it bluntly!! I find it incredibly difficult to tell where you stand (excuse the pun) with people, in general, but this is a pretty clear cut example! i'm gonna shut up about that now anyway.
ok, i'm just after coming back from a nostalgia packed galway trip! a few months ago i bought a Sega Mega Drive, 16-bit of eBay, and i finally managed to set it up!! completely EXCELLENT!!! the first games console i had was a PS1, so for years i was regaled with fantastic stories of Sonic the Hedgehog and Street Fighter and only got to play them for 20 minutes at a time in friends' houses. but this weekend... i played the shit out of all of them. Street Fighter 2 and Sonic 2 were the only real games i got, but they were AWESOME!!! i took loads of photos and even a video of the opening demo of Sonic 2!
SEGA MEGADRIVE, on top of a ps2
finished Street Fighter 2!
it was great fun too! gotta love classic games!
when i was typing the first half of this last night, my head was in bits, and i could hardly type so now i'm going to add in what i think i left out. there are those of you who might think: "hey. why not just go back and paste this over the original mess?". and to those of you i say: "hmm. i don't really want to". a few other problems have erupted about the America trip. and here they are, in no specific order:
1. Visa
2. Health Insurance
3. Transport while i'm there
4. Accomodation
5. of course: the obvious problem of the flight
6. Money
It's gonna take a good while to sort these problems out, but i think it's managable. one step at a time
Last minute addition. i just joined Xbox Live last night! before the whole sleep crash
. my username is WildSeven19, due to everything else being taken... add me there if you want. i think i'm gonna start playing my brother's xbox a bit more. that's about it for this session i think. to chat!
my sister's cat
freaky negative photo from when i was waiting in the doctors office. i'm going to add it as my profile pic i think
peace out y'all. i don't know when i'll write the next blog though... wait and see
