Well time for an update. Just haven't felt much like writing since I have been spending most of my time going out rather than online, I just look always online because I leave my PC on. I agree with the local free paper Columbus Alive that October is really Rocktober for our city. There is just so many different options each night, with bands leading the list as having multiple options. Last Thursday I had free pre season hockey private suite hockey tickets with free food and alcohol, so that one out that night, but most every other night has been music. Saw Saving Jane on Friday at the Octoberfest so I finally got to see them and can't understand what people see in them. Sunday was the return to Gito Gito Hustler to the High5. Is it always go to be a two time visit to that club each year for them? Monday was a British band called Bat for Lashes at the Basement. Reminded me quite a bit of Kate Bush. Tuesday was the Donna's and Donita Sparks of L7 at the Basement. It was a lot of fun, not that I have ever bought any of the Donna's music, just not my style of music. Last night I know a lot of people went to the Arcade Fire show, but since I had already seen them at Little Brothers (for a Hell of less money, that's for sure), I went to the Boris show at the Wexner. I was really impressed with that Japanese band, but it helped that the guitarist from Ghost, Michio Kurihara, played with them for this show. I wasn't really surprised that I saw PunkNightMike at the Donnas, but that he wasn't at Gito Gito Hustler . But who did surprise me working the door at High5 was Dika!
