Well Abbracci changed their name to Alta Italia Cuisina on High and are promoting the Italian dishes more than the steaks now. It's quite possible that the opening of Hyde Park on the Cap has caused the change in menu focus, but the name change itself may have more to do with getting people to remember their place. Now once Cameron Mitchell opens up his second Italian place, Marcella's, in Functional Furnishings spot, it will put Alta right in the middle of Marcella's and Martini Italian Bistro. That should be interesting, considering except for Basi Italia with it's limited seating, Italian has been not been represented well in the Short North except for Martini's, which some may argue isn't in the Short North. Many restaurants offer Italian options on their menus, but this will be the first time that four restaurants who title themselves Italian restaurants will be in the Short North area.
