well, it was a pretty surreal day.
as my first act as an unemployed person, i shall first go to the bank and obtain lots of those coin roll things. i've got more change than you can shake a stick at, and that's worth something. i will cash them in, and earn weekly expenses.
second act, i'm going to finally clean my house. what else am i going to do with all this free time? i can do lots of organizing and stuff.
then, onward to the moon people. after the dishes are finally washed, i can cook for myself, since i'll have all the time in the world and then i can save money. so i have to get vegetable matter at the farmer's market. and eggs, too.
after all that noise, i'm renting a barrel of movies and watching them. and i'm also going to write my novel. and beat level 50 of dr. mario. and drink lots of beer. and walk around and scream at random things.
all is good. i'm actually in a pretty positive mood. i'm treating this like an unexpected vacation. it's a blip in the timeline of my life story. i worked for republicans once. they expected programmers to write code in the morning and wear stuffy clothes and cut their hair. and work on the weekends. they were powerful robots with no hope for love or deprogramming. i showed them the door to liberty and they shoved me through and locked it. they didn't want to change their metallic hearts and see the white light.
the urban shaman needs not such people in his sphere. i've got my rainstick and the green shoes and my messenger bag. i'm ready to walk onward and speak to the willing. it's time to write a novel.

think of this as an opportunity. you only live once, and you are young. do it man. even if you flop you are young enough to come back and start over.
sorry you lost your job... but you were begging to get fired man. you didn't belong there anyway.
