Oh my gosh. The position is even better than first thought. Is that possible? wow. I'm actually shell shocked. Truly slammed. I was able to say a few "wahoo's!" when I got home, but I feel like I'm in water. wow!
What they are proposing is not that I work for them..but that I am mentored and perhaps funded by them to BE MY OWN AGENT FOR NEW ZEALAND DESIGNERS..and I choose who I approach/what designers I want for the regions that I expand into in the States (of course, first Austin)...I do all the deals, paperwork & can work with as many designers as I like (within my avaliable time) because I AM MY OWN BuSINESS. Me! I am an independent agent supported by the DFI and NZTE in terms of -they would like to have first dibs on any spaces I have for promoting Dunedin designers..and they will mentor me etc...but its all me! my business! ahhhhhhh! WOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! & They said things like, "This is a significant opportunity, because as far as we know - there's noone doing it between NZ and the USA."...& they gave an example of a woman who started doing it seven years ago to bridge the NZ/Australia markets and she now has relationships with 120 stores in Australia and 12 high fashion designer labels she promotes. ie: she's doing really well. man.
I also loved Bec's line of, "And of course you will have to attend all of the fashion shows in New Zealand and all relevant ones the States. We'll also try and get you into the New York fashion shows each year as you get up and running, because that's a significant fashion location(!). So...hmm...maybe we can get you an invite to the International New Zealand fashion show this September. Actually, yes - you have to be there. Can you make it? *I nod in awe* Ok good. It's September 4th. Mark it down." I'm like...oooookkkk....I say I'll have to fly back for it of course, and she's like yes - because that'll be a main stage for me to do my networking and getting some of my first designers in once I've done some market research in Austin. I will of course also be able to visit Dunedin then..!!

Also, I am very aware that 'infatuation stages' can also occur for occupations, so I did ask about the risks, costs, etc. and we went through them etc. It is a typical entrepreneurial position where there are Caluculated risks. All of which I am fine with due to my current age and aspirations for big things and willingness to not live the high life for the first couple of years. I'll make it though - you all know me - and this is EXACTLY what I asked for, and what I want. I can't BELIEVE how influential silly things like LISTS are! ha! I probably shouldn't call them silly(!) as they are so ...wow. used by the heaven I believe.
I ALSO made an appointment with Norman, the CEO of Upstart for Dad and I to talk to him about our options with MBPE Ltd., and and AND then after the 10am meeting this morning, I walked to Ken's office (he's the NZTE rep that was there too) and he gave me all kinds of info about being an agent...knowing all the tarrif laws...exporting regulations..(!!) etc...(AHHHH! SO EXCITING!! ) & then then THEN he also introduced me to the IT (information technology) guy at NZTE and I'll email him today to set up an appointment with him too!! I would LOVE to be able to launch MBPE Ltd. as a somewhat separate business to myself, where Dad can do things such as technical consulting, and we can perhaps get a NZ team to launch it first here, and then see about other markets. Becs and Ken even said that it might be good to continue the venture with Dad as a way of funding any slim times in my initial years as being an agent. 
Furthermore, I need to write up the practical thesis for my masters on MBPE Ltd. so I need to meet with them all anyway! So yes yes - that's great, and I think Dad's coming with me this Monday, right dad?
