Hola. Whats new?
Went to Six Flags Halloween spookytown on friday night. Most of the rides were closed, but there were a lot of haunted houses and stuff to see. We saw quite possible the worst magician ever. He wasnt' even good enough to be doing childrens birthday parties. Sorry dude, but the old "cutting a woman in half" bit just doesn't cut it in 2005. And don't you dare break out the "magic linking rings."
At least the fried dough was yummy.
Saturday night we went to see the Dresden Dolls in Providence. Amazing show! Amanda was really sick, and Brian's monitors weren't working, but they still tore the place down. I love shows where it seems like everything is going to fall apart, but it doesn't. Just goes to show who has real talent. Its great to see a local band i saw playing to about 10 people a few years ago filling a big place like that.
Someone in the lobby was handing out caramel-apple lollypops. Fuck yeah, they were great! The dolls always have the best crowd.
And i now have a new favorite band of the moment....Devotchka. They opened the show. They sound like a Russian/Gypsy/rockandroll thing. One guy plays accordian and violin. There is a girl who plays upright bass and tuba (yeah, i said TUBA!). the lead singer plays a bouzouki and theremin! So awesome.
A good time was had by all.
Tomorrow is the annual pilgrimage to Salem for all the witchy goodness.

Oh wow! You went to Salem? That's awesome! There's nothing quite that good to do here in England on Halloween other than get very very drunk and watch Most Haunted Live! where nothing happens for hours on end...

Yeah, Most Haunted sucked major sac. I mean, it does every week but this one was just...well Yvette swearing a lot and Derek waving his arms around with his eyes closed and banging on about people called Bob or Dave or something...
