I always wanted to have short hair since I was young. But I always told myself that I would expect to get older, really grown up, so I could finally have short hair. When miley cyrus cut her hair, GOD, I freaked out! My mom just wouldn't let me do it (and look, she always did everything), because she said I'd look "lesbian" (today she would never say that, obviously. People evolve, AMEN!) ...
Besides, I had a tremendous fear of being "boyish" - too complex with this issue around here.
But it turns out I got tired! I finally got rid of those things that were holding me back, and cut off. I didn't even think much. I left home to buy some things, went through a hall, went inside, showed a picture and asked the guy to play. Anyway, without blinking! And I'm so in love with the way I'm seeing myself now that I can't understand why I had any doubts before!

I love short hair on women, and find that it heightens their femininity to me. Long hair is just a signifier- there's nothing inherently gendered about it. But long hair hides so much of what distinguishes feminine beauty - the shoulders, neck, shape of the head and face.
