back in Berlin. work in essen und aachen went well, though i worked late last night and missed my return flight. i thought it would be a good idea to take the train east across germany arriving in Berlin just before dawn. Wrong again...what a nightmare. a packed train, full compartment, drunken sports enthusiasts singing team songs all night and a large crowd of retirees heading east for a holiday... thank goodness for Sgur Rs and Plaid which hypnotized me down the rails
