So I'm walking to work monday night(the night after the robbery) when what do I see happening in the store when I'm a mere 100 ft away, the same friggin guy wearing the same friggin shit doin the same friggin shit he did to me to someone else. I'm pull back and call 911, a cop(one of my regulars) is heading towards the store anyway, a lady who unfortunately tried to come in for some soda or whatever walked in on the guy trying to rob the place, she and I both run to the police car saying the stores being robbed and I'm yelling that its the same guy as the night before. I see him run thru the park on the opposite side of the street, I tell the cop, a bunch of other officers have shown up(i treat my cops well at that store) and are flying down the road at the far end of the park, unfortunately, they get another guy who the customer and myself both identify as the wrong guy. Apprently the guy who did rob my store had robbed another store about 8 or 10 blocks away about ten minutes before he robbed mine again. Sounds like we've got another raspy robber, only this one is targeting sev's with single coverage. I realize pretty early on that this guy must be targeting single coverage stores because the other store that got robbed is single coverage everynight except friday and saturdays, yet there's a store almost directly in between the two which is always double coverage and he didn't rob that one. I point this out to the officers and my field consultant(guy between store manager and district manager) and he gives me some spiel about how double or single coverage doesn't matter to a robber, which is wrong. The two times i was robbed in maryland, the robbers thought there was only one person in the store and the guy who was held up monday night usually works at one of the most problematic stores, with big crowds, junkies, etc, and he has worked nights for 3 yrs, with someone else and has never been held up! Needless to say, after tonight and tomorrow night, I'm not working nights unless there's someone else with me. I haven't been back since tuesday morning, when I got off, lets see what it's like tonight!
