ok the damn site went down for maintnance right as I hit enter on my journal update. It was pretty fucking long too. OK long story short, things were going great, new job, better pay, cars running good and its raining (I love the rain). Last two things were a bad combo though, fucked up highways with there low spots mixed with rain and my just recently fixed car. So I hit a big ass puddle on the freeway at about 70 (we're talkin BIG ASS PUDDLE) and I sucked water into the engine and hydro locked it. 70mph and hydro lock = no fucking good. pulled the spark plugs and blasted water out of all four cylinders, sprayed the plugs with some carb cleaner and fired it up. (I'm fucking happy at this point cause it started) now there's a mean ass fucking noise coming from it. took it to the shop yesterday dropped it off and about two hours later they call me back and inform me its something internal that would require a rebuild or replacement (that something is probably bent rods). fuck so do i have them strip this one down and hope the block is still good once they tear it appart to look or just replace it?? I said fuck just replace it, cost more to rebuild anyway. So they are doing that now and I will be going over there and picking the old block up and keeping it at a friends house where we will strip it and slowly build it back to a high performance engine if the block is still good.
apex_tiki:
dude, are you runnin the cold air intake? do you have the bypass valve on it. usually with those damn CAIs they like to hydrolock motors.
apex_tiki:
yea dude, i dunno if the bypass will help if you go fording rivers or something but itll help. alrighty. take care of that thing,is it single or dual overhead?
