WOW, I dont even know where to start... This is nothing like what I expected. ITS FUCKING BORING OUT HERE. This shit sux, I expected much more. I dont know maybe its some sort of subliminal suicidal tendancy but I was expecting much more shit being thrown at me. I'm an adrenaline junkie and I was expecting a year of some of the most intense days of my life. Living on the verge of death having that ultimate thrill... but no theres nothing so far nothing at all... ok thats a little lie, we had mortars come in a few days after we arrived but the perimeter is set so far out they dont even reach inside the compound. I realize this is still real and since we've been here convoys have been hit and a Marine was killed, so yes it is still real but nothing like I was expecting. I dont know maybe its a good thing who knows, I still have 11 months and I guess thats more then enough time to have those experiences...
