Decisions, decisions...
As you may know by now, (thanks to the hundreds of other journal updates) today is election day for those of us priveleged enough to live in the great United States of America.
Back in May, I decided to try one last time to register to vote. My previous attempts at registering had been stifled by some asshat government worker who didn't know that in order for a voter registration to be successful, the actual voter registration card must be received by said registrant. This happened about 3 or 4 times. I wanted to vote for Kerry, and I was pretty gung-ho about Kerry's campaign.
However, now, I have lost this Kerry ambition. I can't bring myself to vote for either of the two candidates, Turd sandwich and Giant Douchebag. Although I am unhappy with the current administration, and I would rather see Kerry in office, I can't validate either of the campaigns with my vote. I do not approve of strongarm blocking of third party candidates from debates and ballots. I do not approve of the way in which they take parts of phrases out of context and create an out and out lie. I cannot validate lying and thievery with my vote.
I may still vote today, but most of my ballot will be left unpunched, or un-touch-screen-button-pushed, for I will be voting Libertarian, and I don't expect to see this party on the ballot for more than 2 offices.
Fucks to this election.
