Story of the day.........................

After a much needed trip home, the journey ended yesterday.....of course it wouldn't be a good trip without a little drama right?
I had to laugh at my self because all I kept saying was that I wanted to see snow......and it was all melted when I landed
My parents had some at their house though so my wish was granted
I accomplished all 3 things I needed to do while home last week:
1. Obtain valid Canadian drivers license - Check
(after fighting a little with the Saskatchewan Government.....thank you Alberta DMV for giving me a new license)
2. Get taxes done - Check
(first time in my life I am getting alot of money back
)
3. Get my ass to at least one dance class to prepare for the "So You Think You Can Dance" audition next week - Check
(although I hurt in places I never knew I had)
Other than that, I had a chance to visit with alot of my family and meet my little sisters new boyfriend. I have to say that this is the first one that I approve of.....such a nice guy. He also was receptive to my "Big Sister" speech and took note at my comment about being able to fire a C-7 rifle
I also got to meet a few new little additions to our family when we had a family potluck on Sunday. I thought that holding a baby would make me feel a bit sad since we are having trouble getting pregnant but it was fun to play with the little rugrats
I wasn't impressed with my cousin when she sat at dinner holding her baby in one hand and a beer in the other (personal feeling) and even less impressed when she drove off after having 5 at the house and one opened in the car. I really wish I would have reported her now and am angry for not doing so at the time.
I have come to realize that my parents are turning more and more into mushy old people
They are so cute anymore that it is almost too much. I actually had to tell them to knock off the kissy face stuff in front of me because it was getting to be too much
I think the only thing that bothered me about that was the fact that I didn't have Pete around to do the same with
The trip home was anything but enjoyable
The first flight I took (from Calgary to Seattle) was the most turbulant flight I have ever been on. I have to confess that for a person who has flown in fighter jets, I was panicing just a little until we landed). I only had about 7 minutes to go from one terminal to another to catch my connecting flight so picture if you will - WhiteWidow running through the airport with a box containing her wedding cake in one hand and her purse in another.......only to get there with a minute to spare and find out that the flight was cancelled
The lady at the ticket booth was quite rude to me when I asked her how I was going to get home and acted like I asked her to rearrange time when she had to rebook me on a later flight. I will never fly Horizon Airlines ever again
So after a couple of hours of waiting....I got home last night at about midnight. Poor Pete had to wait for me at the airport and ended up going to work just exhausted today
Sadly when I arrived, I was so worked up and annoyed that we hardly spoke a word to each other last night for fear of getting into a silly fight. Oh well - at least I am home to my "family". I was never so happy to see my husband and piggies in all my life
For those of you who are in the San Diego area.......there is a sushi night tomorrow that we are planning on going to. If you are interested in coming, let me know and I can give you the address
I am sooooo tired that I am gonna go nap with my piggies now
Since I have to work on my audition piece for next Thursday, I probably wont update this weekend so with that being said...........
