Story of the day.........................
ugh - I hate being sick
I feel like I could cough up a lung if I really wanted to
Unfortunately piratepete and I are both sick so it looks like a very non romantic Valentines Day this year
Oh well - I am sure that we can make up for it when we are both feeling better
Pete got me the most awsome program for our computer that allows me to transfer VHS to DVD which is awsome!!!
I have soooo many dance videos (that date back to 1983
) that I need to convert before they don't work anymore. Actually the video from 1983 barely works in the player anymore so the quality sucks - at least I have it converted though
It is so funny to look back at all of these dances I did and think "Holy Shit!!! I dance that 14 years ago!!!"
It still seems like last year to me sometimes....until I try to move like that again
I thought it would be funny to show you what a 16 year old WhiteWidow use to dance like
Keep in mind though that this was a pretty large group so good luck actually finding me
Plus, the quality isn't that great either.
Mr. Vain - 1994
Back in the day I thought that our guy was a pretty good dancer (not that he wasn't) but now I look back and see that he was clearly just a "prop" for lifting girls. He would be the first to tell you that the only reason he danced was for the girls
I still can't believe that he is now an old married man with a 2 year old daughter....oh how the time flies!!
Fast forward 6 years and I never thought that I'd be dancing professionally with a folk dance company
Not that it is a bad thing.......of course when I was younger I always thought that folkdance was sooooo easy. I changed my mind when I started performing dances that were anywhere from 8-15 minutes long
It was the year I was promoted to principle dancer....which meant that I performed every sincle number in our 2 hour show.....oh to be that in shape again
This particular dance looks rather easy - but it is only a small portion of the entire 13 minute dance
Vinok Worldance - Canada Day 2000
Other than that - not much else going on. We are headed to Disneyland again this weekend (suprise suprise) if anyone wants to join us
I believe we are going Saturday so if you are free - come hang out with a couple of grown kids

oh - before I go.........just a little warning for all of you...................did you know that it is infact possible to burn eggs inside of their shells if you forget about them when you are making hard boiled eggs????
Of course I didn't know that but I do now
I always like to find stuff out the hard way
ugh - I hate being sick
