Story of the day.................

First off I have to say a big



for all of the Birthday wishes that I received

So far 30 isn't near as bad as I thought it would be......but then again that is easy to say when your husband makes it the best birthday you have ever had!!!!!

It all started when he came home from work on Friday night to find me soaking in the tub with a glass of white wine (somthing I figured that a 30 year old would do ). When I emerged from the bathroom I walked into the bedroom with many candles lit The night was a very romantic one and that is all I will say about THAT

The next morning (my actual birtday) I awoke and headed out with Pete to get a white hot chocolate (one of the most orgasmic drinks ever made!!!) and got my first birthday present - a gift card to Starbucks.....bless the man!!!!!! Then we ran a couple of quick errands and proceeded to randomly drive around for hours I was starting to wonder what the hell was going on and that is when Pete told me that he was just killing time before we had to go home and get ready for my next birthday suprise I LOVE suprises but I also HATE not knowing what is going on (a quirk I picked up from the military) so after a long while of teasing Pete knew that he had to tell me what was up before I started to cry Once we got back home he asked me what one of the outfits l liked to wear out for an evening of fun looked like and that is when I walked into my closet to find silver stars hangning all over and a little invitation (that he had crafted himself) inviting me to that evenings performance of



Now - for those of you who know me, you understand how big of a Cirque Du Soleil nut case I am I had mentioned a while ago that I was interested in seeing this show and we even went as far as to make plans to do it in January so imagine my suprise when he told me that we were going that night!!!!!!! That wasn't the end of the day though.....once at the show Pete got me a show T shirt (he got one as well since we collect them from each show we see) and 2 Cirque DVDs to add to my collection If you haven't seen this show and are really into Cirque you MUST see it!!! It was probably the best show I have seen yet (well at least in the top 2)!!!

The next day I was still on my high from my birthday so when Pete suggested that we head to Knotts Berry Farm I was thrilled......that is until we got there I am not one to knock amusment parks but this one was sort of a let down since we only got on one ride and the one I really wanted to ride was closed. Needless to say, we only stayed there for 2 hours before making our way to Disneyland where everything was all better again I even got a birthday button to wear We had so much fun in California Adventure land riding the California Screamin over and over again just so we could try and out do each other making silly faces for the camera near the end of the ride I think the highlight of Disneyland this time around was the Christmas lights and somthing that absolutely made the day/night. At "Small World" we happened to stumble upon the Christmas show where the lights do amazing things and they project images onto the actual ride itself.



I was having a blast watching but the part that got me almost teary eyed was when it started to "snow" bubbles. I have really been missing home for the past month or so because this is snow season in Canada (at least where I am from) so when I got to experience this I was the happiest girl in the world We have decided to go back and celebrate our 1st anniversary in the Magical Kingdom before heading to Canada for Christmas. If anyone is interested in joining us just let either of us know It will probably be on the 15th (which is the day before our anniversary) but I think that the more the merrier

I am still on a high from the weekend. Everyone should go tell PiratePete that he is the bestest husband in the world and quite the romantic He took what I was dreading to be the worst birthday ever and made it into a most memorable weekend How did I ever get so lucky to have married such a man

Well that is my story and I am sticking to it
