Been hot as hell down here the past few weeks. Luckily it has given me and some friends an excuse to sit around a pool drink beer and eat horrible food. I swear the only reason we actually swim (besides the heat) is because we would all turn into fat asses if we didn't because of the junk food everyone brings.
I also now have a ridiculous addiction to True Blood and like any good addiction I've been spreading it around. A few of my friends are watching it now and the others just roll their eyes as we sit around the coffee shop on Monday talking about the new episode.
I just watched the trailer for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Now being that I have an aversion to him and that I am a huge Alice in Wonderland nerd (so much so in fact that my next tattoo is going to be the Hatter) I really feel like he is going to fuck this up. I will of course go see it due to the fact that I am a Wonderland nerd but I have a feeling that I'll want to kill Burton after it.
The summer so far has been really good. I have been totally lazy which is really nice for once. Especially since I'll be running around like a crazy person when classes start again. It's also nice to be able to make it through the stack of books I have to read. The funny thing about being an English Major and hang out with people of the same major is that we all seem to have this weird need to give each other books and never expect them to return. Its like unless we give or suggest books to people we'll have forgotten what we've read. But of course this oddity leads to the unending stack of books laying around my room. But I am almost done with Neuromancer, Heretics of Dune, The Books of Magic, Sandman, Hellblazer, (Hey comics are books too!) and a book of Czeslaw Milosz poems. For some reason I am on this weird SciFi/Magical Realism kick right now. But it will be a nice break before I have to start on the school books.
On the 31 I will be juggling and fire breathing for two parties. One a kids party and then a friends lingerie party. It should be interesting to go from wholesome kids entertainment to half naked fire breathing.
That is all for now. Hope this finds everyone well

...and at least you're having a proper summer. It's been much cooler here than usual, and it's rained quite a bit. I will admit that I don't care too much for heat, but it would be nice to have a few sunny days in a row, haha.
'Tis quite a reading list that you've got there. Good stuff.
