What day is it? Ich weiss nicht. After many days of working in an oven-baked steel garage, my pocket has grown fat even though I myself have gotten leaner by the wayside. For the love of money...
money, money, money......MONEY!
money, money, money......MONEY!
As for the blazer, right now I am going to drive it and leave it the hell alone. other than installing a chip, headers and 2 1/2 inch exhaust with flow master mufflers and no cats. And my Ranger 2970 CB that has been bumped and pumped up (I could sit in washington on whidbey island and talk to russia, japan and austrailia on it! Also a K&N filter bosch plugs and other such tune up goodies. Just going to give it a good maintanence once over so I can rely on it for a while because right now I am driving my project car, and whe know what happens to project cars that get driven - NOTHING!
Eventually in the great magical someday many moons from now, I am going to make a home grown 502 with EFI and back that up with a NV4500 NP 205, super duty drive shafts, and install forged shafts into the Dana 44 front, and then a similar 12 bolt rear will be installed. I also am going to put a air suspention under it and 17" weld Cheyenne rims with Nitto or BF goorich rubber. but they will be the more street traction type, I will keep the stock wheels for the winter with good knobbies on them.
Inside I am going to have the seats reupholstered in leather with perforated center sections to let them breathe, I am going to stick in new carpet and leather on the doorpannels. I am also going to put in fresh carpet and have a rubber floor mat that I can throw in back if I want to haul anything. A soft top is also going to be a necesity.
Other than that I am going to drive it a bunch. It will be a long while before I do much to it.
As well I have a 78 chevy short bed 4x4 that has no engine in it, I have an engine but truck and engine are about 10 miles from each other, having the blazer will allow me to reunite them so as that I can get it running too.
