DR. PHIBES JAZZERCISES TO STARDOM
Current mood: Lonesome, Broke, and Driftin'
Too good to be true...BUT IT IS. Dr. Phibes gave up his career as keyboardist for Iron Butterfly to become a FITNESS SENSATION. Lots of angel dust, absinthe, and elbow grease are behind this transformation. Anyone that stands in his path will have to deal with man-eating pigeons and other detestable parasites. Word on the block is that he can kill a man with nothing more than an old school ghetto blaster and a mix-tape filled with disco indie rock. Lord knows what this diabolical monster will think of next. Stay tuned. I heard he was a big DEAD CAN DANCE fan, but there has been no confirmation. Trivia buffs, take note...Dr. Phibes is an uncredited keyboardist on The Happy Monday's "BUMMED" LP.

Do you know, oh obscure artrock expert, of the short-lived British 1990s psychedelic rock dreamers Dr Phibes and the HOuse of Wax Equations? I've got a vinyl copy of their album Whirlpool somewhere, and very good it is too>
