BROOOOOOOOMMMMNNNNNNN

Yes, the almighty drone is reigning supreme over the basement lair. Dropped the old Jazz bass down all the way to the OTHER E. Just kept striking the fucker like a gong. Sounded like the Abominable snow men talking to each other about cough syrup. The less I try to play the better a KAROLI session turns out. I've always been a fan of less work. Here's my drone ingridients:

Peavy 150 Watt Head
Trace Elliot Cab w/ 18' Celestion speaker
Ibanez Tube Screamer pedal
BOSS GigaDelay in CRAMPS mode
Line 6 Filter Modulator set to stun

I also run a DOD mixer into my amp so I can have the tapes of wolves howling while I summon the ancient ones with the drone. It's time to go listen to SUNNO))) and Metal Machine Music again.

If any of you psychos are in town April 3rd, were playing at the Masonic Temple on Phillips Avenue at 2 in the morning. All of the crazies should be out and about around this time. Whodini wrote a song about this. What a town without pity.....can do.

If any of you little musician freaks out there know where I can score a Fender Bass VI, let me know. Or any other kind of baritone guitar. I know Danelectro makes a decently priced baritone guitar, but I would prefer to get the Fender. It calls to me in the night.

Who are you guys voting for? Or if you are from Canada, who would you vote for if you were a red-blooded American?

What are you guys listening to right now and why?

SOUNDTRACK OF THE DAY
Miles Davis "Pangea"
Funkadelic "America Eats Its Young"

eeek eeek eeek tongue tongue

For the newcomers, the posts are generally better when it isn't a day off from work. You can't get anything funny or bull-headed out of me when I'm enjoying my time.

Could you record me some music? Derek Bailey, Ruins, Erase Errata? I promise to buy some EE, at some point, too, and to see them when they come in town for the 53rd time... this time, I will go.
I just bought Sonny Sharrock, Seize the Rainbow, on half.com.
...Greek fire in the drawers of thought, what then does the otter think? This star which dies in the shoetree that an estuary of furs opens with stampeding cries uttered upon the canoe pavements of thought. They're everywhere, the black insects spring devours -- substitute, space is a liqueur-- I drink at the stroke of fate. The castle overflows with sharks which the dogs' presence excites, among the artichokes of madness. Whereas the fencer flashes with ague that a haywain communicates to the compass card. "It's here," says the gravedigger, guiding his shears into the skulls piled up on the wireless set. "I'm not a baker," says one of them without conviction, since the scarf around his neck is choking him while a hammer wakes him up.

Funkadelic....My 15 y.o. son begged me to take him to the George Clinton show a few days back, but alas I couldn't do it due to other commitments...

Next time around though.....we'll free his mind...

Woody Guthrie's been on my mind and in my speakers again as of late...

Deportee, The Dying Miner...

Amazing how so many of the issues he sung about are still issues...
