Things start to get a little sticky when you've got something to prove. I'm losing the polite guy routine and just letting shit fly lately. Upon looking back on my actions and use of language I feel that it isn't a display of superiority. No, this is something I find too common in both my football dudes past and the art/music/film/lit crowds I run with now. People BELIEVE too much in what they are doing. No one is RIGHT. Everyone is at the same level. Perhaps my frustration and overtly-critical attitudes comes from the lack of desire in my fellow Northwest Ohioans. This whole position of frustration leads me onto the EAST SIDE REDNECK rampages that I'm sure you cats are tired of. It's just too much time and energy wasted on what OTHER people are doing. Can I begin to focus on myself without being a narcissist or self-important jackoff? Maybe I can exist strictly upon myself and block out what other people are doing without the ego-trip and the appearance of apathy. Like a coherent Syd Barrett perhaps? I've been talking about the BOWFLEX purchase for too long now. The 1962 Fender Jazzmaster will just have to wait for another year. I must have a Family-sized portion of regular foods to counteract what McNutrition has done to my stomach and brain in terms of a definition of FULL. Almost like heroin. I need to fight back. I need to improve. I want to be envied. I want to learn.
