I want to apologize to the people that I've promised copies of KAROLI. Between practices and work I haven't had the time to sit and make burns or minidisks of our shit. Most of our recorded output is fairly repetitive drones and feedback for roughly 20 to 40 minutes at a time. We've been practicing at making more tracks around 3 to five minutes in length without sounding like a shitty garage band. Unless that shitty garage band happens to be Dead C or Guitar Wolf, then it might be forgiveable. Personally, I've been trying to work on songs that are more in the vein of Jandek or Suicide. Not so much as to emulate those people but more in the delivery and recording of those particular artists. Jandek is totally out of control. I love his whole broke down ghost folk. Since I'm fairly good at not making sense or playing instruments it seems like the logical way to go. Honestly, the whole umpteen effects pedals/drone/feedback thing is getting a little tiresome. Especially since effects pedals for guitar are not very cheap.

An obvious template for the length of the songs might just be DEus a band from Belgium
Sorry I have been away.....surfing the oceans of Kansas......and weaving metaphors from the stray strands of hair falling from the childhood looking back at us all......I have just the spot on my shelf for 40 minutes of drone....crammed into 3 minutes of sound........cheers
