"We're going to keep you alive long enough to throw you in jail"

Hospitals and prisons spring up like herpes during Mardi Gras. What's a sane, logical man to do? Put on a badge or sling organs down at St. So & Sos? Were they ever into the healing aspect to begin with? Is this capitalism's version of well being. "You're well as long as you are sometimes sick all of the time"

"Shit man, we make more stickin' these fuckers in cells than we do educating 'em and expanding their usefullness. The damn sonsabitches will be mighty useful making $0 an hour as opposed to $5.15. Shit, Hoss, we done struck a goldmine. I bet you dollars to doughnuts that the zombies won't even put up half a fight!!!"

I'm five or six steps away from becoming a violent drifter. Even if I continue down the path of worker drone dream land, I'll give it under ten years till I get thrown in the nut house. They fucked up the wiring at the factory. Like John Rambo or Johnny Five, it's society's turn to deal with me. I just can't function with other people. I don't understand anything that the average man understands. Let's run through a small list of things I don't care about.

Appearance
Weight
Family
Hair
Transportation
Talking
Money
Bills
Shelter
Food
Sex
Entertainment
Literature
Other People
Art
Environment
Religion
Dates & Times
Past, Present, or Future
Love

That just about narrows it down. Well, I am still in a band so maybe I might be getting a D+ in a few of those areas. If we were using a grading scale. Is it a sign of mental dysfunction when your list of cares drops each year? I have debated seeing some kind of psychologist or psychiatrist just to at least cut the problem off at the past. I would hate to burden my folks with the press when I unleash into some form of frenzy. Maybe my SG peeps can lend me some of their knowledge as to my dysfunction. Should I be worried, gang?

SOUNDTRACK OF THE DAY

Brian Jones Presents The Pipes Of Pan at Jajouka.
Pink Floyd "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn"

Sunn0))) "Flight Of The Behemoth"

Calexico "Feast Of Wire"
Otis Redding "I've been loving you too long"
CAN "I Want More"
Abba "Waterloo"
Suicide "Frankie Teardrop"

...........let's hear it for Frankie YELP!!!!

Yeah, I'm into David Bowie. Maybe it aint for you Lester Bangs types but I dig it. Not all of it. Diamond Dogs to Lodger are my little slices of heaven I cling to when the wolves are out for blood and the conflict rides on that February breeze. Coked out Bowie fighting back the hounds of hell in a German cabaret. With Neu! and Kraftwerk clanking around in the background like a grandmother looking for a pot to boil soup in. Desperate for human emotion all the while doin' the cyborg with Eno.

"Sons Of The Silent Age" The robot ballad sending out distress signals through white doo-wop televangelists in NASA gear.

"Fantastic Voyage" Song sung blue that throws the Nostradamus trip on the upcoming prozac age. WE'RE LEARNING TO LIVE WITH SOMEBODY'S DEPRESSION.

JOE THE LION Former high school athelete turned semi-successful real estate agent looking for kicks on a saturday night. Can you blame the cogs, babycakes? He rather take a beating than taste paradise. Silver Surfer on the mixing boards sounds like amphetamines and LSD building appliances for the ghouls at General Electric. Feel that fabric, honey.

For all we've seen, for all we've said WE ARE THE DEAD.

Yeah, I know, it's all been done, baby boy. But it makes me feel like I'm part of the team.
