Gay swordfight
All saints day
Peppermint Palace
wingdinger of a wax job
crappin' you negative
like the day is long
scammin' tourists
pushin'
stealin'
cherish the days
when you seemed almost there
we're all great at something
some gypsy fiddle
and an empty pocket
square one feels like home
I think responsibility is a shield and a sword all in one. You use it as a weapon when lining yourself against other people in your sphere. "Oh, I've got two jobs and can make my bills on time. I never have to ask anyone for anything."
You can use it as a shield to defend against time and living your life. "Well, I'm not going to go out drinking and carrying on because I've got RESPONSIBILITY". So it's a different kind of cop out. Copin' out of life. Maybe I should develop ways of entertaining myself that do not involve the AQUISITION of things that cost money and just make my own. For instance, quitting my two jobs and just living with my folks until they kick me out. Hopefully, they would put me up in the nuthouse with nothing but a saxophone. That's fine with me. My mind doesn't work right. I don't fit in anywhere. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
soundtrack of the day
Django Reinhardt & Stephane Grappelly with The Quintet Of The Hot Club of France.
Y'know I just wanna be a kid again. That's probably why kids seem to enjoy me more than adults. I'm all about just running around in a field and pissin' the day away. Buildin' sand castles and eating peanut butter and jelly. I refuse to grow up. Every time I take a step towards the popular vision of adulthood, I react against it. School, work, religion. All of those shenanigans. I've always been a problem for ADULTS. It's really sad when people want to take your childhood away from you.
I hope it will all be a jungle gym someday
