And so here:
Two weeks ago I left my great and influential southern town of New Orleans on a sojourn to the beautiful, if not slightly colder, expansive Northeast. I've been online maybe twice since (this being my third) and I've come to realize how easy it is to disappear from this site. Or in general for that matter, I guess. Not really vanish, per se, but. I digress. Whatever. I'm not sure what I was talking about. Yea, the Northeast. My grandfather had a minor stroke (insert long-winded medical term here) which impeded the first half of my vacation, and then on the second half I was called back to work because I didn't properly ask off for vacation. I spent very little time with most of the friends I went to go see, and I spent absolutely no time at all with others. In the end, it is a very sad state of affairs. I thought I felt like talking more about it, but I don't think that I do. Write the word "snarkle" in my journal if you're even reading this far into it. I think I'll start doing little quizes like this to make things more interesting. Is that how you spell "quizes?" Did I pass?
Since I don't feel like stopping with the typing already, and just to add a little excitement to an otherwise extremely bland journal (there ain't even no pictures!), here is a list of things I think I need to do, and some things that I have done recently:
This is a list
1. I need a new job when I return from Nam this summer. I think I'm going to make a resume, which feels very domestic. Maybe I'll teach.
2. Canon Rebel SLR EOS Thingie w/ lenses. I found one on Ebay for 1800 American Dollars that had so much shit that came along with it. I don't know what the point of this is because I can't afford that.
3. Rent.
4. Make screen printing of the Bruised Banana Brigade Logo I made. Subsequently, run said logo by The Chimney Sweep to make sure it meets her approval.
5. Still reading? Jeesh.
6. Get my shit together and mail off all the mixtapes and cds and paintings and crap that I have for people that's just taking up space in my small apartment.
7. Learn to breathe fire. Seriously. No. Yes.
8. Make buttons (badges for the friendly folks elsewhere).
9. Stop writing. Now.

I think I should start writing "extreme" fortune cookies.
I met a girl, Michelle, from S-fran who is the editor of Panache magazine. Do you know anything about those folks. The publication is very entertaining. Cover story on Burmese, and lots of great interviews and whatnots inside. She runs the Booking for bands such as Shellshag, DMBQ, Afrirampo, Greenmilk fro the Planet Orange. She was 23 and had the world by the balls I was very impressed.
At that same show I saw a two piece from the N.O. called Blackfire Revelation. Have you seen these boys? They played some pretty cool stoner-metal. Nothing mind blowing but very solid and they did a fucking wicked cover of Blue Cheer's "Second Time Around".
DMBQ is going up to the north east in a few days. Tell any of your buddies to go see them they put on one of the best live shows I have ever seen. and the line-up looks rad for these shows.

Those albums you bought are good ones. That Burmese is my king of the hill right now. That pig destroyer is relentless and amazing. I was not a fan of Black Mountain for the first few go arounds but I now like the poop out of it.
I fixed a roasted leg of lamb packed with port soaked currants, mint, toasted pine nut stuffing. With a purple onion jam. It was a bunch of fun. That jam is amazing.

Sincerly,

But yah....I may not be on here after August when I move out because the computer is my roommate's and I don't own a "working" computer (own a few shells).
I've been good. And how about you?
