well that sucks. $100 citation for turning the volume down on my gps? Awesome.
The officer claims it was a cell phone. Then he said it was an ipod. Either way, he said I had an electronic device in front of my face. Well, duh! I sit 3 inches from there steering wheel! Of course the GPS is in front of my face. I'm so beyond pissed.
I don't know if I should fight it or not. I did have my cell phone on my lap. But he looked at it and the last text was sent at 1:39 which was BEFORE I even left Belmont and the last call was an hour ago and since I'm 23 it's completely legal for me to be talking on the phone. He even looked at my ipod to see if I had changed the song. Which I hadn't. Jerk just wanted to cite me.
Debating on whether or not I should bother fighting it.

2. Having all the visual back up to your story.
Also, they might make the cop take time out from his day to appear in court. This usually is a big inconvenience to the cop and will be a big dark cloud in his day. If you win, can you imagine how pissed he will be?
I'm sure there is a time limit for appeals but if you can, fight this guy, win or lose you will upset his day no end.
