Grr. Sometimes that's all I want to say.
I just got off the phone with this woman I went out with the other night. We had a pretty good time, or I thought we did. We laughed a lot, she got pretty drunk and I was the gentleman and didn't take advantage. Today, I call her to see if she wants to go play pool with a few friends. No pressure, it's a wide open social thing so it's not like we would be one on one and I would be expecting to hook up. We get to talking and she says that she doesn't think we are a good "fit". I ask why, and she says "You're too into everything".
What the fuck does that mean?
Apparently it's wrong that I have pierced nipples and tatoos but still watch SportsCenter. It's wrong that I have a real job and still like to go out drinking all night and not come home till 5 am, then be at the office by 11. It's wrong that I listen to Poe and Switchblade Symphony but also have Cinderella, Iron Maiden and Lisa Loeb CD's in my car. It's wrong that when I caught her checking out some guy at the bar I said "Yea, he is pretty good looking." I'm not into guys, but I'm not an idiot.
I've always thought that my personal diversity was a strength, not something that would drive someone away. I think having an appreciation for things diverse makes you think on a wider plane. Makes you state of mind more accessable to new things and new people. I think it makes you a better person, flat out.
Please, would someone introduce me to a like minded woman? Or if you are such, introduce yourself.
