No work to speak of so I've been riding the new mountain bike a ton lately. I picked up the frame unused on craigslist a couple months ago. Then I agonized over choosing & shopping for parts for a month or so. It's been together for a little less than 3 weeks now. One week to break it in & work out any bugs (none at all) before I went to Steamboat for a short week. I'd been riding the old one often enough, like every other day or so, but since the first day I took this one out I think I've missed three days (2 were driving for 11 hours) & gone out twice a few times. I'm by far in the best shape I've been in since my early 20's! (I'd been a smoker till 4ish years ago) 5 days in Steamboat I logged in well over 100 miles & never the same trail twice. Yesterday I hit Boolteg Canyon in the morning then followed some seriously psychotic pedalers around again in the afternoon. Felt like I was in boot camp or something, I always give myself breaks when I ride alone but I try to keep up with these nuts when I ride with them. Brutal non-stop workout.
Here's some pics from CO:
this last one is of my father who's 60 this year. I keep trying to get my inheritence (as if...) but so far the hearty bugger keeps thwarting my attempts like they are nothing! The yellow stuff on his shorts is actually Flower Shit in case you didn't know that flowers deficated.
