I need to vent briefly. I'm a bit of a loner- not at all antisocial mind you, I fully enjoy the company of others- but I've trained 5 guys this spring and it's really trying on me. I LOVE my work, my preference is to kick ass and get shit done, things generally get done slower with another guy along for at least a month or so, there's lots and lots of explaining and talking about how and why things work and how and why I do things whatever way and not another. That in itself is difficult when I'd rather just work and get done two hours earlier. Most guys don't care for the heat in the summer here which is very understandable. Some others never really catch on, a few have a hard time making it to work or whatever, but I've found that in general a guy who sticks it out is usually somebody I develop respect for. This current guy is catching on, he seems relatively unfazed by the sun/heat, and he's on time every morning. And I can't stand the fruitcake. He's a hundred facts an hour 90% of which are bullshit. For instance: did you know that when Lake Mead was filled (aka Hoover Dam built for non-locals) the wieght of the new lake threw the earth off it's axis by 3 degrees? No shit, it's just like that non-stop all damned day. I'm of the opinion that arguing with an idiot is pretty stupid in itself, so I try to concentrate on something else and add an "you don't say?" every once in a while. I'm baffled as to how he seems to grasp the mechanics of what we're doing yet not be struck by how absurd his stuff is, it doesn't add up. Alright, that's all the bitching I have for now, I'll balance it out with a little musical love.

In case you're unaware there's not much bad in life that T Rex's "The Slider" album can't soothe at least a little, try it out for that purpose next time life throws you a curve.
