Some promising news about my eyes: First, Dr. Shin is still very hot, too bad she now has the HUGEST rock on her hand I've ever seen. She operated on me in 1997, her staff searched for my records and concluded they must have been destroyed by now. But she sent someone to look elsewhere and they found 'em. This is very good because I can avoid another spinal tap, cat scan and bloodletting. The better news is this: the amount my eyes deviate (the muscles are pointing them in different directions = double vision) is much less than 10 years ago, plus it's nearly vertical with very little side to side deviation. This means she may be able to get me right by only moving one muscle. last time she had to move 5, 3 in one eye 2 in the other. Better yet, the deviation is in the oposite direction of the worst deviation last time. I was worried before seeing her, because after the last operation she said there were a couple muscles that could not be moved any further. I'm feeling VERY optomistic now.
Thursday after work I spent 6:00 to midnight under the hood of the mustang getting the lifters swapped out. Then got up at 4:30 to go working. Last night I got the lifter pre-loads adjusted, the carb back on, the coolant re-filled... A few things to finish up this morning & I should be good to go. The ten year old tires need to go, I'm split on what to do in the rim department. I LOVE the factory steel wheels with no hub caps, but they're skinny 14x5 I think. I want to look for some aged 15x7's at the junkyard, but I do have a cool set of shelby aluminum slots 14x7. Maybe I should just put some tires on those for now? I do love a junkyard day though. decisions decisions.
