Well, the motor and trans are in but my camera gave finally up the ghost. I had been persuading it to work by turning it on, then quickly striking it on the table before it could turn itself back off. I do have a couple other photos of the motor painted up all pretty, I'll add them here later. There's still a lot to do to though, the pulleys situation is fucked up with the motor's newer style balancer. I could run the whole serpentine set-up from the new motor, but I'd have to buy a reverse rotation water pump, and I already had a nearly new high flow pump on the old motor. Today I think I'll sandblast the headers and hopefully give them a spray with this:
the black satin stuff
It's been sitting on the shelf for two years now, hopefully it's still good.
maybe start to figure out the linkage for the new trans and find out if the old driveshaft fits or needs to be cut shorter. As long as the menacing clouds don't open up.

guitargeek:
Well that sucks. Time for a new camera, I guess?

Yay! for the motor but Boo! for the dead camera. Im having some issues with my project car too. I should just buy a new transaxle for it and be done with it.
