technically it's not a word. my friends say it all the time. the problem: it's actually a word. it is a combination of letters which have a meaning. that makes it a word.
i don't use "irregardless". i don't like the way it rolls off my tongue. that doesn't change the fact that it's a word. it sounds common and uneducated. kind of like 99% of all people.
i fully advocate the use of this term, irregardless of it's incorrectness
