Blitzhosen was one of the greatest rock bands to ever exist, capable of moments of touching intimacy and spastic energy, fusing a fuzzy, classic-rock tone with witty, all-too-modern lyrics. I loved them mostly because of their music, but also because, despite the grandiose nature of their music, they were at heart just three unassuming guys in Minneapolis who made music because they loved it.
I was their only fan, and I hate that, because there really isn't any way I can convince anyone else of how great they were, because their music really only spoke to someone like me, someone sick of masturbatory music for people who actually think they're cool and worth taking seriously by anyone other themselves.
It was nice to hear unpretentious rock. I miss those guys. I know I've talked about them before, but they're on my mind right now.

Make me a copy of some of their stuff. I always want music that other people don't know.
