OK, so I wanted to get some opinions on what you'd do in this particular situation.
So, I have a "nice" muscle car, that's loud and has a bright paint job. I drive to work and I always park in the spot in our lot (for employees) since I started working there (4months). People have come to know me for the car, and a few people bust my chops for parking in the same spot all the time. One of these being the parts ordering manager. And I've still been getting to know the people around the office, the ordering manager started striking up some car chat with me. Great! Something I have no problem talking about, and good way to get to know my co-workers. He goes on to tell me he just got a new muscle car and that he's gunna be taking it to work now. He goes on to say he wants to park next to me, and make a little 'car show' in the employee lot. Sweet!
Now...keep in mind there aren't any reserved spots in my company. You can park wherever you want. I just liked this spot because I'm anal about where I park and I get paranoid that someone with him my car, and this spot was out of the way.
So he gets the car and after a few days he joked around saying "Man this morning I was gunna park in your spot just to bust your chops." A week later, he starts parking in the spot every morning!! Me being a light-hearted and easy going guy, I tell him, man I guess you really like that spot over there, huh? I should've put a nameplate on it!" And he goes "Hey, if it's available, I'm gunna park there everyday."
I really don't care, it's his obligation to park there and he has every right to, which is why I haven't said anything. He also gets there an hour earlier than I do, so he's gunna get it everyday. But, isn't that kinda douch-ey to do?? I mean, he had acknowledged that I park there all the time, and referred to it as "your spot"! I'm a very get-along-with-everyone type of guy, and I'm not gunna say anything to him about it, but jeez, that IMO just isn't in good taste.
What would you guys do??![](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/ph-508.604ed20cffa9.gif)
