Summer Closes, and I Survive the Dreaded Day
So, my summer is now *officially* over. I attended my first day of college yesterday. The day went by far better than expected actually. Woke up at about 5:40 this morning, and left the house at 7:00. Unfortunately, I forgot a print out of my proof of prerequisites, and had to rush back home to get it. But traffic wasn't bad at all...I guess I got there at a good time, because none of the non-existent parking rumors I've heard about SDSU were true...Although it did get a bit crowded later on...But who cares...I already had a spot...Suckers
I was able to meet up with one of my friends before my first class...Turns out that his first class is right next door to mine. I just couldn't escape people from my high school for some reason...So far, three of my four classes have people from Helix in them...And sadly, I don't like any of these people lol. Anyway, my teachers seemed pretty cool...I only have two lecture halls out of the four classes I have been to so far. I have some doubts about my English teacher though...Not that she'll be bad, but she is kind of...What's the word? Ditzy? I think that explains her My Calc II teacher seems really cool...He has already proven to be pretty funny, mostly in an unintentional way lol...Had forty people trying to crash that class o.O
My schedule is pretty well balanced. Two-hour block of classes, two-hour break, two-hour block of classes, then off to home. I ended up going back to the car to switch out books/folders during my break, and ended up listening to music and trying to sleep for an hour and half or so lol.
Had History and Econ today, but the department wasn't ready and didn't have tutors for our break out sessions, so the Econ class was cancelled. My History teacher seems pretty cool...He jokes around a lot...Only problem might be is that he talks hella fast
Has the Madness Ended?
Unfortunately, my last day as a free man with no obligations to school was not the greatest of days. You see, my sister decided to come over, and I sure as hell wasn't going to let her know I was home.
Have you ever felt like a prisoner in your own home? It is one of the worst feelings in the world. I mean, your home is supposed to be your safe place right? With big heavy wood doors, locks and bolts, windows that lock, shades that can be pulled down...But even with all this, I didn't feel safe...It was as if she had X-Ray vision...Could look into my locked up dark house and see me cowering on the couch, praying for her to leave. yes, I did say cowering...I was curled up on the couch, with the TV on mute, barely breathing for fear that she would hear me, and know I was inside. I had to leave my slippers behind and creep ever so slowly to my room, where I would be free to breathe normally, at the very least...But the thought of her climbing the fence lingered in my mind, so I stayed out of view of my window. My mom called, but I was too scared to answer the phone, for fear that she would hear the ringing stop...But I took a chance and lucked out...She had retreated to her car and was rummaging through her crap. I explained to my mom the situation, and she was able to call this woman on her cell phone and get her to leave, without letting her know that I was home. With an hour and a half stolen from my last day of summer, I was a free man yet again.
Later that day, this woman called our house. She explained that thanks to us, she would have to go steal now, so that she could buy gas. Luckily, my mom was not falling for the guilt trip, and not quite so politely told this woman that we've offered to help her, and that she *chooses* to live like this. Rather than apologize, or at least realize that a change needs to be made, this woman replies with: "Well, I'll just steal from you guys next time." What. The. FUCK. Even my drug addict, ex-gang member, practically homeless uncle isn't as bad as this woman...
I Can Talk, Once Again
I'm not sure if I mentioned this last entry, but I lost my phone at Disneyland. Anyway, my new phone, which is far better, but with a plan that costs $10 more, arrived today. So, for those select few of you out there that are privileged enough to have my number, you can once again call me.
