I always joke about rampant corruption in sport, especially when it seems my Vikings get legitimately screwed over quite a bit.

The question is always in the end though, I mean with all the money involved would you really be surprised if things were a lot more fixed than people think?

Its not about teams, or your state, or who they represent anymore (even soccer is turning more that way) its who can sell tickets, who can draw in ratings, who has star players etc.

At least boxing is out in the open. People know assholes like Don King run the show and that the sport has been corrupt almost from the beginning. Even in the bareknuckle days there were rumors of thrown fights, although no actual 'mob' involvement or anything like that.

Would it be so hard to believe that the NBA or the NFL or MLB would stray? Look at the Black Sox in 1919, its been done.
