fitter, happier, more productive
so this year i will not say that i will follow some "resolutions" that i blurted out on new year's day; still in bed at 2pm with a head hangover. however, i do want to accomplish some feasible goals this year. i have not written in my sg journal because i want to spend more of my time away from the computer. i have become as addicted as i was when my parents got aol dial up in 1994, the only difference is that i am now on social sites such as this, instead of depeche mode and new order chat rooms.
here are just a few to mention:
1. i either have to find a job that i really really like and make enough money to live on, or at least could have the opportunity for advancement (since i like the job), OR i have to be enrolled in grad school-either at nyu or comparable (if there is such thing). i have a feeling it will be the latter because who the fuck likes their job? if i could be a full time student til retirement, i so would.
2. well, in 2005 i quit smoking, so all i hope for 2006 is for the booze blackouts to ease up. i do not want to stop altogether, but maybe drink half the bottle of jagermeister on friday night rather than the whole bottle. k? thanks. my sanity, potbelly, liver, stomache, and memory will thank me for it.
3. i must start my novel. start it, that is all. it can be a complete pile of rubbish and 50 pages by the time 2007 starts, so long as i am on my way.
4. take dance classes again. i have four different pairs of shoes and the capezio dance shorts. all i need to do is schlep my lazy nervous ass to 54th and broadway and pay a tenner. i have got to go by february 15th. VERY important! also attend occassional workshops for writing, dance, and readings.
5. utilize nyc while i am here, because i know for a fact that i do not want to "settle" here. i guess this goes along with #4.
6. eat properly. i should not starve myself from time of wake up (8am) til 7pm then chow down like a starving wolf. i need to balance it out throughout the day.
there is much more; more imporant and less important ideas and goals, but for now this will do. i will now sign off and spend my time wisely watching films in bed with walnut brownies, pod coffee, and my laptop computer.
fitter, healthier and more productive
