sociology isn't a real subject. it's just the study of proving psychology wrong. maybe i'm full of shit, but so far that's all i've learned in my sociology class. our teacher sits there and tells us the reasons why psychology is false and the reasons why mental illnesses are "social constructs" and why the DSM is terrible and lies and why biological definitions of illnesses are essentialist i mean... are we going to learn any SOCIOLOGY SOON? or is that all it is? My friends over here in my department like to call it "Psychology Lite" .. heh heh heh. if i have to read one more "scholarly journal" about why the DSM is shit i might puke on my fucking stupid professor.

i was recently diagnosed as having celiac.. so that means i can't eat gluten anymore. gluten is in wheat, oats, rye, barley, spelt.. a few other things. i basically can't eat grain ever the fuck again. i can eat rice. (PHEW I CAN STILL HAVE SUSHI).
my puppy sleeps right next to me every single night under the covers around my waist. he curls up in my waistline EVERY single night and thats where he lays his lil head. he's gotten so used to this, he's been sleeping this way since I got him a little over a year ago. well gee wendy, wow. THIS MEANS THAT YOU HAVENT HAD A BED PARTNER IN A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. wannna know something, folks? i've never had a bed partner. no one ever sleeps in my bed, unless it's too late to leave or unless they're too drunk. it's never because they actually want to stay.
and fuck the bullshit i was talking in the last journal entry. i want me a man who knows his way around a grill, watches football on sundays, forgets to shave for weeks at a time, and never asks for directions. i want one who will spank me when i'm bad, too.

I took a sociology class, it was just an intro type of class. The professor kept on blaming all the ills of society on wealthy white males. That really turned me off to it. I am a white male, but i'm not rich. And it still turned me off. Anyways, from left field, I really dig the hell out of the teaching company's "The neurological origins of Individuality". Really interesting series of lectures on neurobiology. Learned alot. After that, i really feel as if someday there might be some kind of joining together of psychology and the study of the kinds of things going on in the nervous system. Maybe i'm full of it, But from my limited knowledge, there has to be some kind of connection somewhere.
