Finally moved house and got the internet back - the lack of SG goodness was something I don't want to experience for a while!
My first night at the house probably gave the others a bad impression. It's all very hazy and guilt-trip inducing. Nevermind...the stuff of silly stories at least. Anyway I must get posting again, the lack of comments is depressing!

Saturday 22nd:
I made a curry from scratch for the first time today and it was deeeeelicious! In the afternoon I'd finally ventured into the 'Worldwide' supermarket in Rusholme to gather the remaining ingredients. There was such a variety of powders and potions, really cheap too. Even though I felt people were looking at me strangely, I'll definitely go back (probably in a year when I've finally used up all the spices).

Tuesday 25th:
I went to a beach to litter-pick with the Millenium Volunteers again today. We found what we originally thought was a shoe, then had to keep pulling and it seemed like it was attached to a buried leg! Turned out to be a welly though. Phew!

I think we have acquired a 'pet' cat. I was putting my washing out this evening and was constantly being stared at by a scruffy black and white cat. I left the door open to go and get the next batch and the cheeky thing wandered around the house! Tom managed to coax it out with a meatball but it is still waiting expectantly by the door. Poor thing...maybe the last tenants fed it. I think we'll have to call cat rehoming people if it keeps coming back because it doesn't look like the sort you'd want to cuddle unless it gets a damn good wash!
