It has been remarked to me that I haven't been spending very much time online lately. So, I shall post an apology on my various blogs in case anyone has missed me (even though I haven't been at SG for long enough to create much of a presence yet, but on the off chance anyone HAS missed me, then kiss ).

The reason is, I've been...

Yeah, I know my compost shouldn't smell. It's a really old heap (left there by the previous owner) which I've just forked out and mixed with some manure, to aerate and nourish it before spreading it on the new beds. Neither the old compost nor the manure smelt bad when I was mixing them, so they're fully broken down and good to use; but I did add a fresh layer of weeds to the bottom of the pile, which haven't yet had time to decompose. It's that layer which stinks every time I break into it tongue

Also... but but but I like pansies! They're so pretty smile My mum used to grow them when I was little and I always thought they were so lovely. Maybe I'll put them in some pots.

I'm still having a hard time thinking of a pansy as a flower instead of some nerd you beat up in the toilet block! ARRR!!! HAHA!

I have named the new bird. He is called Icarus. smile I'm not sure if I'm in trouble or not though, I think my lad was a bit more annoyed than I expected him to be. frown He says he's just tired but I'm not sure. I think I need to bake a cake to make it up to him. Everything can be made better with chocolate...

Oh my god, I'm in so much trouble. shocked

Just now, I decided to throw out my plans for a new tattoo. Instead I bought a baby sun conure. For those who have not had the pleasure of meeting one, they are one of the most sweet-natured and beautiful birds in the world. Also uh, sort of expensive. blush I'm justifying the expense by cancelling my tattoo...

I passed my driving test today! I now have my provisional license smile Yeah, I'm 27 and should have had it ages ago, bla bla bla. Don't care. I passed first time, which is more than lots of people can say. wink

The immediate upshot of this is that I can get a new tattoo. Well, I guess the real upshot should be that I'm now allowed...

Oh yes, her text is lovely. I was thinking of trailing text from my left collar bone to the underneath of left arm, in a line in grain with my body.

Your idea, I just noticed, is not to too far away from mine! (I have just read your post for the first time now!) It's not too often that you see crushed paper on skin, it would be an interesting effect and a good opportunity to include a little shading.

I'll get mine one of these days...

I'm a bit angry at my community as a whole right now.

Yesterday I took delivery of a large amount of gardening supplies - bags of manure, woodchips, fertilisers, that sort of thing, for a large-scale overhaul of my garden that I began today. This morning I entered my front yard to find two old European men (I live in a suburb with a high...

Now that is odd and fucked up! Maybe there IS some bizarre fetish catering prostitute in the area?. Glad you told him where to go and didn't get too upset by the dirty old bastard frown

Yep. Staying home at nights going stir crazy. That's how I roll (as the kids say) smile

OK, yesterday's Achewood comic is GOLDEN. For those who do not read webcomics or have never been exposed to Achewood, it is written by the beautifully twisted Chris Onstad. The characters in the strip are all stuffed toys or animals or pets he owns - from the above strip Philippe is a toy otter and Lyle is a toy tiger, I think. Achewood is pretty...

Hello! My name is Karyn. I'm a rock & metal chick from Brisbane living in Wollongong, just south of Sydney. I'm a former fitness instructor now working in science; I love road cycling, reading, sci-fi and fantasy, gaming, body modification, and songs with cool old-school squealy guitar solos.

What's to tell about me? I work on a very large steel making plant studying air pollution....
