It's been the nicest day for winter it's 56 degrees out in metric it's a warm day. So nice I've actually been outside today working on some new horse fence. Growing up in central Kentucky it was always cold and lots of snow in December. Because of global warming the weather has changed.
We have company for the week our Salvation Army Angel Tree girl who recently turned 13 years old staying with all week Riley. This young lady is so pretty and waiting to be adopted by Froster Parents. She recently lost everything in life her family farm, her parents and her horse Bandit. Thanksgiving weekend the bank foreclosed on her parents farm, her parents were arrested for neglect and abuse of their daughter Riley. Also her parents were arrested for persistent drug dealers. She watched Animal Control come and confiscate all the livestock including her horse Bandit while Kentucky Child Protective Services picked her up for her safety.
Me and my daughter's started a family tradition when they were little girls Salvation Army Angel Tree. My daughter's love helping preteens and teens that are wanting for Foster parent's. I went on the Monday after Thanksgiving and asked do you have girl me and my daughter's can help on that Angle Tree. Mr Thomas said I have girl and she needs you and daughter's badly she is very emotional and she just arrived Thanksgiving weekend. Mr Thomas said I have her envelope for the angle tree. I read everything in her envelope and noticed she needs a winter jacket before Christmas. Mr Thomas said go meet her and take her with you shopping and just have her back by 8 o'clock tonight. Mre Thomas is the director of the Kentucky Foster Parent's System in central Kentucky. I meet her and said come on let get out of here and get you jacket me and my daughter's are your Angels for the holidays. She got the biggest smile on her face and we instantly had a connection and talked about things only me and her know . Long story short after we got her jacket I said you want to go to my farm and help my daughter Little Red feed and water horses. She got excited and said yes and they became friends really fast I didn't see them for hours. The next day I made arrangements to get her horse Bandit back.
We picked Riley up Monday and she had no clue we got her horse Bandit back. She cried so hard when she saw her horse Bandit. She hugs me and I didn't think she was going let go and says thank you. Anyway my daughter's and Riley have been riding their horses all day. I yell at her just like I do my daughter's got you're asses in here we need to get ready to go to my parents house. My daughter's are like dad why don't you Cheyenne be Riley's Foster Parent's. I said no girls cost to much to rise I can't afford another girl. They said dad we'll just ask Cheyenne. I said please don't or I will have another daughter. Me and my daughter's will tell you straight up Christmas is about helping others in need. If we hadn't found Riley she would still be emotional and not have her best friend her horse Bandit.
