Gardening is my favorite hobby I love everything about gardening and growing my own food. I've gotten so good at it for the past 5 years I've been growing farm fresh vegetables for the local farmers markets. You can also use this word Produce for the farmers market. This year I got certified by the state of Kentucky as a Organic produce farm. The best way to explain Organic is I don't use fertilizer or pesticides on my farm. I've found a better way to grow produce that doesn't contaminated the under ground Lyme Stone spring on my farm and the best water I've ever drank in my life. It's cold and 100 percent bacteria free and so good is this water I drink everyday.
Having good water I don't want to contaminate my water. I've learned ways were I don't need pesticides and fertilizers. Instead I've learned to plant certain types of flowers in my garden for the bugs and worms too eat instead of eating my vegetables. I've also learned I can order good live bugs online like Ladybugs. This year I set 3000 Ladybugs lose in my vegetable and produce gardens to eat the bad bugs and worms. It actually works the Ladybugs are hungry and eat bugs and worms. For fertilizer I use what farmers have been using for years horse manure. There's a horse farm next to my my farm and I can get all the free horse manure I want with 4R Ranch cleaning horse stalls daily.
Just so happy I'm officially a Organic Farmer with the state of Kentucky certifying my farm organic. And I've noticed at the local farmers markets the public will pay more for certified organic vegetables.
There's nothing easy about farming it's hard work and me and my preteen daughter Little Red are wore the fuck out. Today will be the 5th farmers market Timberlakefarms has setup at this week. We pick vegetables every evening until dark then clean and wash vegetables until midnight get very little sleep because we're back up at 6 o'clock in the morning and back on the road to the next farmers market by 7 o'clock. The summer months is our time to shine with farm fresh organic produce from Timberlakefarms. And it's that time of the year to make these farms give me and my daughter Little Red a paycheck. We love everything about living on a farm it's a way life for us self employed American Farmers. My preteen daughter Little Red is so happy I pay her every Friday and she has saved almost 3000 dollars this summer. My child is saving her money for a Harley Davidson Sportster 883 motorcycle. I said little girl you can't ride your motorcycle until your 16 years old. She said I can buy it and ride my motorcycle up and down the road in front of the farm theirs no one out here to tell me I can't ride my motorcycle. Differently my child and I told her we can get you a bigger and newer dirt motorcycle too ride around the farm. She said no dad I want a Harley Davidson Sportster.
@penny and @kyrie please consider my blog for the front page. I'm pretty sure I'm the only self employed farmer in the community!
