My 2024 organic gardens got planted late this year, because it wouldn't stop raining in April and May in Kentucky. So this year was the latest I've got my organic vegetable gardens out planting in late May early June. Anyway my gardens are growing and some of the prettiest vegetable gardens I've ever planted. I switched over to a green farm and organic farm about six years ago. Organic farming is I use no fertilizer, chemicals or pesticides on my farm. A better choice is using what's available for fertilizer and that would be horse manure. Also six years ago I decided I wanted to try growing fresh vegetables for the local farmers markets. I did so well the first year I've been growing vegetables or produce for the farmers markets since that first year.
I grow for my family and the farmers market 7 different varieties of tomatoes 4 different varieties of cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, banana peppers, hot peppers, onions, cucumbers, zucchini, squash, kale, lettuce, sweet corn, strawberries, pumpkins, green beans, okra, watermelons and herbs.
I have another garden growing in another location on Timberlakefarms I'll be sharing in the future. In this fourth garden I have sweet corn, pumpkins, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and kale growing. I've been so successful growing farm fresh vegetables for the local farmers markets. I have plans to expand growing produce by adding greenhouses to my farm next year and the following year.
Where your food comes from I added two photos of my soybean crop I have growing on Timberlakefarms. My soybean crop is sold every year to a buyer who sends soybeans to every major food company you can name in the United States. I'm proud to be a American Farmer Feeding America.
