My adventure started on Wednesday morning towing my camper to Otter Creek Recreational Campground. From this location I could drive to 3 different creeks, springs and one lake. After I got the camper sit up with electric and water. I spent the afternoon at Sanders Springs Radcliff KY fishing in the lake. And kept two channel catfish for dinner. Back at Otter Creek campground I had grilled catfish, fires and coleslaw for dinner. Around one o'clock in the morning I had a black bear trying to break into my camper. I looked out the camper window and another black bear was trying to get my truck door open. I yelled get the fuck out of hear before I come out and kick your black bear asses. Just my voice was enough to scare them off for the remainder of the morning.
Thursday morning I was off again to another location Witch Creek. In a future blog I have so many stories to tell you about the witches at witch creek. I can't explain it the witches at witch creek accept me and I can trout fish all day with no problems. Anyone else the witch ghosts will fuck with you all day. Anyway I paid my respects to the witches and placed wildflowers on their headstones. And told them thanks for letting me fish today. I kept 3 bass for dinner and headed back to Otter Creek campground. Back at the campground I had grilled fish, grilled potatoes and a tossed salad for dinner. No black bears Thursday night and I slept good.
Friday and the remaining time on my camping trip I stayed in Otter Creek Recreational Meade county Kentucky. I fished that morning and Megan joined up with me when she got off from work. We've been dating for a couple of months now and really like each other. This pretty alternative girl is vegan and wanted vegetable soup and cornbread for dinner. And I made some peach cobbler for dessert. Around 10 o'clock two black bears showed up. Megan went inside the camper, I stood my ground and said hey Bears get the fuck out of my campground. It worked and we didn't have a black bear problem the rest of the night. It's so romantic hanging out by a campfire wrapped up in a blanket with the one your falling in love with.
Saturday morning I went and picked up my daughter Little Red. And our family dog Dallas from my parents house. She was so excited to go camping and fishing. The good thing about Otter Creek Recreational Meade county Kentucky it's only a half hour from my place. We fished that morning and had lunch at Otter Creek Tavern. For dinner my preteen who's vegan wanted vegan campground chili for dinner. Something about cooking outdoors in a campfire makes everything taste better. I use hickory wood when I'm camping and cooking outdoors and my campground vegan chili was delicious. Megan and my daughter Little Red really like each other. And they danced around the campfire allnight to Rob Zombie and Merlin Mansion.
Sunday we fished and went on a adventure looking for Native American Artifacts. With 13 different Native American tribes calling Kentucky home at different times. I've been successful finding flint arrowheads and spears at different locations in Kentucky. And the five days I spent camping I found a arrowhead at Witch Creek. Found a spear at Sanders Springs and two more spears at Otter Creek. Having so much fun on this camping and fishing trip I didn't want it to end. My daughter said why can't we leave the camper here and come back one more time this year. I pay a annual camping fee so we left the camper at Otter Creek. Sometime after Holloween myself Megan Little Red and Dallas will be back for one more camping trip at Otter Creek. And check out my videos I posted.
