Left the house yesterday - go me!
I went to a Creative Industries movie night with Rook in the early evening. They showed the Director's cut of Donnie Darko, I hadn't seen the Director's cut and Rook hadn't seen it at all. Personally I think I like the original release better than the Director's cut but I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me. The seats weren't the most comfortable and I think I fidgeted a fair bit (but Rook didn't bludgeon me with anything so I assume my leg didn't twitch) but overall it was quite pleasant.
After that I caught up with an old friend who I hadn't seen for about a year, hung out at his place for the night and then came home early this morning to discover that Miles (a housemate) had opened the windows to "give the place an airing out". Innocent enough but those of you in Brisbane will know that it's a tad windy today and the fucking toilet paper roll has completely unraveled itself. We've got this soft white pile of loo paper on the floor in the bathroom - *le sigh*.

I think most people agree with you on the directors cut...at least, the people I know do. I like that they spell shit out for you though. I loved the movie when I only understood about half of what was going on, and gleaned the rest off the internet...but at least the new one makes more sense.
I hear his new movie is having some similar problems...back in for retooling, evidently. Everyone hates it. Bah.
