i'm starting to really take the war thing seriously. last night i got so upset about it and it really surprised me. i'm so scared and upset, mainly because i don't understand what the hell is going on in the world today. last night on my way home for spring break i got stuck in the mess that was downtown portland last night. those of you from portland will know what i'm talking about, i'm sure you saw it on the news. all of a sudden they closed the bridges and highways and freeways and we were just stuck there like a big parking lot because all of these protestors sat down on the burnside bridge. i looked out my window and there were like 10 helicopters in the sky and 20 feet from my car were about 25 cops in their riot gear. it just made everything seem so real. then this morning watching the bombing of bagdad made me just really upset. all those people dying have nothing to do with what's going on and yet we are killing them. their community is being destroyed by americans, and it just makes me really sad. the world is in a horrible state right now and it's making me depressed. today is not a day to be proud to be an america.
p.s. the song "bombs over bagdad" came on when i was in the car today. that song will never be the same to me.

question of the day: How will you record this period in time and world events?

It's sad, but true.
Saddam is a dangerous and sick man and he does need to be removed from power in order to attain this idea of world peace.
As much as i don't agree with the war, I am happy that I live where i live and am entitled to my opinion.
