sometimes the craziest things happen...
last friday a kid that i went to junior high and high school with (he was a couple years younger than me) married a 32 year old woman. he was 18. how an 18 met a 32 year old and married her i have no idea. on saturday early morning the woman's ex-husband came to the newlywed's new house and murdered the kid i went to school with. when the cops came and held the ex-husband at gunpoint he shot himself in the face right in front of the cops, and his ex-wife, who was holding his 4 year old child.
the neighborhood where this happened is one of the nicest neighborhoods in the portland-metro area. it's a neighborhood along the columbia river with houses with an average price of a million dollars or more. crime isn't really a thing that happens all that much in a neighborhood like that, especially a murder-suicide. times are crazy in vancouver i guess. but what a sad story....to get married and then less than 12 hours later to be murdered by your new wife's ex.
on a happier note...house-sitting has been great. chris and i have been playing house sort of and it's be lots of fun. it makes me want to live with him so bad. we've been having these late night talks on the back deck just hanging out and enjoying the summer heat and looking at the stars. life is good.
question of the day: What books or movies have changed your life?

Book: Manufacturing Consent by Noam Chomsky
The distributor for Exhumed is based out of New York, so it will have VHS and DVD distribution in the US, but no theatrical release, unless some kind soul decides to organize a showing themselves. There will be a theatrical showing in my town, but that's about it.
