I saw "Yes Man" Friday night with my co-workers, and we absolutely LOVED it! It's been forever since Jim Carrey was in something that was meant to be a comedy all along, and this truly is his forte. The comedy even managed to squeeze enough room for some light romance thanks to the Ridicu-Hot Zooey Deschanel. I wouldn't have thought they would have chemistry on screen, and while it certainly isn't reminiscent of any power-duo in the last 10 years, it was just enough off-balanced to actually be believable! A Hollywood first!!
I recommend it to anyone who spent 2008 doing even a little bit of personal growth/soul searching. You'll laugh, you may "get something in your eye," and you'll shoot overpriced movie-soda out of your nose during one or two scenes.
